Donna's Story

Donna Clements fulfills her God-given purpose to exhort others to realize a changed life as a motivational speaker and writer by utilizing practical, everyday tidbits of wisdom and life-experience storytelling.  Whether she is enlightening the masses or counseling one-on-one, the "peace that passes all understanding" is her guide.

Donna was brought up by a loving family on a tobacco farm in Lawrenceville, Virginia.  Surrounded by spring-fed ponds, tall pines, rolling pastures, and farm animals of every sort, Donna enjoyed the idyllic childhood and it instilled upon her an endearing attachment to God's Creation.  Hard work and leadership skills were being learned by the age of 12 as she was driving the farm truck throughout the countryside and managing the crew of workers.  And representing her family on market day at the tobacco warehouse taught her the importance of respectability, reputation and character.

Donna graduated with honors from Brunswick High School, attended Virginia Tech and then received an Associate's Degree in Paralegal Studies from Penn State York Campus.  Fulfilling her heart's desire to complete her undergraduate education, she is currently enrolled college transfer program at Halifax Community College.

Her professional experience includes serving as an Executive Director of a 500-member Bar Association where her oratory skills were honed by addressing members of the American Bar Association and their staff, on the county, state and national level.  And for 15 years, she managed millions of dollars for clients in Virginia and North Carolina as a licensed financial advisor and owner of a franchised investment firm.

Speaking venues for Mrs. Clements have included colleges, churches, civic organizations, investment clubs, private gatherings, libraries, and businesses throughout the states of Virginia and North Carolina, as well as Minnesota, South Carolina and Pennsylvania, the other states where she resided.  Donna also shares her passion for life as a regional magazine columnist, newspaper contributor, and producer of a weekly radio show.  She was a founder and board member of Roanoke Rapids' Cornerstone Christian School and, being an avid reader, is a self-appointed ambassador for the Roanoke Rapids Public Library.
